Vistra's third-quarter Ongoing Operations Adjusted EBITDA rose more than 50% from a year earlier to about $2.38 billion. The company attributed the increase primarily to higher realized energy and capacity prices and plants acquired from Lotus. This adjusted measure is different from GAAP net income.
Vistra raised the midpoint and narrowed its 2026 Ongoing Operations Adjusted EBITDA range to $7.1 billion to $7.5 billion. It also introduced a 2027 range of $7.7 billion to $8.5 billion for the same measure. The board authorized an additional $1.5 billion of share repurchases, leaving approximately $2.5 billion available. An authorization permits purchases; it is not a completed repurchase.
