TL;DR

  • Duolingo, Super Micro and AMD each traded above their November 3 regular-session closes in separate recorded after-hours observations.
  • QQQ finished near its 200-day average; SPY’s midterm comparison uses S&P 500 index history, not pre-inception SPY data.
  • The five charts show completed daily bars and label after-hours snapshots separately.

YieldTerminal Pro’s November 3 After-Close Map separates the completed U.S. regular session from recorded after-hours reactions. The video combines the five approved Shorts and their dated charts. After-hours quotes in the charts are snapshots, not completed daily candles or continuously updated prices.

Duolingo: users and guidance

Duolingo said third-quarter daily active users grew more than 28% year over year, averaging almost 65 million. It raised its full-year revenue outlook to about $1.22 billion. Its shares closed the regular session lower before a separate, higher after-hours observation following the report. The chart keeps those two sessions distinct.

Super Micro: sales above its preliminary range

Super Micro reported fiscal first-quarter sales above $19.9 billion, almost four times the year-earlier level. That was more than $445 million above the top of its October 20 preliminary range. Its new fiscal-year sales outlook is $72 billion to $82 billion, compared with $65 billion to $72 billion in August. The cyan after-hours line is a separate recorded observation above the November 3 regular-session close.

AMD: Data Center growth and next-quarter outlook

AMD reported third-quarter Data Center revenue of $8.546 billion, up about 96.9% from a year earlier. Total revenue was $77 million above the top of the range it gave in August. AMD expects about $17 billion of fourth-quarter revenue, plus or minus 3%. The chart distinguishes its $483.90 November 3 close from a recorded after-hours observation of $516.00.

QQQ: near its 200-day average

QQQ closed at $685.28, more than 10% below its October 6 six-month high of $762.86 and less than 1% above its 200-day average near $680.14. It rose on November 3 but finished a fourth consecutive session below its 50-day average. These are completed-session levels, not after-hours prices.

SPY: completed close and midterm history

SPY closed at $754.35. Separately, a study of the S&P 500 index across 19 midterm election years from 1950 through 2022 found it higher one week after Election Day in 16 years. From that week to year-end, it rose in 13 of 19. In 2018, that latter stretch fell more than 8%. The pre-1993 history refers to the index, not the SPY fund. Past results are not a forecast.
