Good afternoon, everyone. A rough start turned into a much better finish. SPY closed higher, while the Qs nearly erased their morning loss. Micron and CoreWeave also recovered sharply from the morning weakness. Let's go back to the levels we were watching and see what held up.
September PPI
The backdrop hasn't changed: producer prices rose one point three percent in September, with prices excluding food and energy up seven-tenths of a percent. But a hot inflation report doesn't tell us where the market has to close. Today is a good example of why I want to see the actual price reaction.
SPY — recovered daily levels
SPY closed near seven hundred and seventy yesterday. We covered it around seven hundred and sixty-seven in premarket, and it finished today near seven hundred and seventy-two, up about three-tenths of a percent. It traded through the rest of the October second daily gap, then recovered. It also closed back above the fifty-day average around seven hundred and sixty-nine and the twenty-day around seven hundred and seventy-one. I'd want to see that recovered area hold on a daily retest. Below today's low around seven hundred and sixty-four, the September lows around seven hundred and sixty-three and seven hundred and sixty-two are still on the chart.
QQQ — the morning decline and closing recovery
The Qs closed near seven hundred and twenty-nine yesterday and were around seven hundred and twenty in premarket. They finished near seven hundred and twenty-eight, only slightly lower on the day. We traded through the remaining September twenty-first gap and closed back above it, as well as the fifty-day average around seven hundred and twenty-seven. The August eleventh low around seven hundred and sixteen was tested during the session. I'd watch whether we can stay above the recovered gap. Below today's low, the September seventeenth gap around seven hundred and twelve to seven hundred and thirteen remains open. The twenty-day average is still overhead around seven hundred and forty-three.
Micron (MU) — the bounce and the larger decline
Micron had a much stronger finish than the morning suggested. Yesterday it closed near nine hundred and fourteen. We had it around eight hundred and seventy-four in premarket, and today it finished near nine hundred and thirty-one, up almost two percent. It recovered the August gap around eight hundred and seventy-nine to eight hundred and eighty-eight, then got back above yesterday's low around nine hundred and fourteen. Those are the areas I'd want to see hold. The fifty-day average is still overhead around nine hundred and eighty-three. And keep the bigger move in perspective: it fell about thirty-nine percent from its June closing high to the July trough. The rebound from that trough is about twenty-six percent; it hasn't recovered the full decline.
CoreWeave (CRWV) — a daily recovery, with overhead gaps
CoreWeave closed near sixty-six yesterday, was around sixty-three in our morning update, and finished near seventy, up almost six percent. It fell below the July low around sixty-one before recovering yesterday's low around sixty-four. That's a daily recovery of the level we were watching. It doesn't erase yesterday's fifteen-percent loss, and today's close is still below where it finished two sessions ago. The overhead gap around seventy-three to seventy-six is the next area to work through. For a retest, I want a daily candle to test the reclaimed level and close above it.
TSMC (TSM) — earnings growth and the closing chart
TSMC's earnings showed strong growth: revenue rose forty-one percent from a year ago in U.S. dollars, and the fourth-quarter revenue guide is higher. The shares still finished down almost two percent, near four hundred and twenty-two, versus four hundred and thirty yesterday and around four hundred and eighteen in premarket. They dipped below the August low around four hundred and eight, then recovered. Today's high got through the old September gap, but the close was still inside that range. I'd want to see it close above that area's upper edge around four hundred and twenty-three. Today's new overhead gap runs roughly from four hundred and twenty-four to four hundred and twenty-eight.
Top 5 Up — TeraWulf (WULF)
Now the Top Five Up on our closing board. TeraWulf led with a gain of about nine percent. It's a strong day, but it still closed below both its fifty- and two-hundred-day averages. Those sit around sixteen and eighteen.
Circle (CRCL)
Circle also added about nine percent and closed above both averages, clustered around eighty-five to eighty-six. That's a much different position from a bounce that stays below them. I'd watch that cluster on a retest.
IonQ (IONQ)
IonQ gained about nine percent, but remains below both averages around forty-one and forty-three. Today's bounce hasn't reclaimed either one.
Kodiak Sciences (KOD)
Kodiak Sciences added almost nine percent and remains above both averages. It recovered some of yesterday's loss, rather than erasing it. Yesterday's high around ninety-one is still above the close.
The Trade Desk (TTD)
The Trade Desk gained almost eight percent. It's just below the fifty-day average, while the two-hundred-day sits much higher around twenty-one. The shorter average is the first one I'd want back.
Top 5 Down — Semtech (SMTC)
On the downside, Semtech lost about ten percent. It closed below the fifty-day around one hundred and fifty-seven, but remains above the two-hundred-day around one hundred and twenty-two. Those are two separate reference levels.
Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE)
Hewlett Packard Enterprise fell about seven percent and finished just below its fifty-day average. The two-hundred-day remains much lower, around thirty-nine. I'd watch whether it can recover the shorter average.
Dell Technologies (DELL)
Dell also lost about seven percent. It's below the fifty-day around five hundred and thirteen, while still above the two-hundred-day around three hundred and twelve. That leaves room between the two averages; it doesn't make either a guaranteed turning point.
Rocket Lab (RKLB)
Rocket Lab fell almost seven percent and remains below both averages, around seventy and eighty-one. Neither has been reclaimed, so I'd treat a bounce and a repaired trend as different things.
Everpure (P)
Everpure rounded out the downside with a loss of almost six percent. It still closed above both averages, around one hundred and fifteen and eighty-two. A red day on this chart leaves it in a different position from a name trading below both.

Closing-board scope and chart basis
The closing board uses the October 9 frozen TradingView watchlist of 275 symbols. The scan returned 255 symbols, including 245 U.S. stock/ADR price candidates; 202 passed the source-reported market-cap-above-$5B filter and final closing-price checks. Twenty symbols did not return. ETFs and other listing types are excluded from this stock ranking. Market-cap figures are source observations rather than independently reconstructed closing equity values.
Changes compare completed October 15 regular-session closes with October 14 regular closes and exclude dividends and extended-hours trading. Nasdaq closing references were reconciled with Yahoo Finance daily history and TradingView checks. Historical gap ranges are dated; a traded-through gap remains useful historical context rather than an untouched gap. Earlier Daily Levels editions keep their original price and session basis.
