In short

  • Friday close: $275.04, +4.57%; only +1.85% for the week.
  • Shares are 20.3% above the 50-day average; about 219 times management’s fiscal-year adjusted EPS guidance midpoint.
  • AI security offers a credible growth thesis, but recurring revenue, GAAP profitability and dilution need continued scrutiny.

CrowdStrike finished Friday at $275.04, up 4.57%. The rally recovered much of the previous two sessions’ decline, but the stock ended only 1.85% higher for the week. That distinction matters: a strong daily rebound is not automatically a fresh breakout. Price history

Why it belongs in the AI conversation

As enterprises deploy AI agents, they create more identities, permissions and workloads to protect. Our investment thesis is that security spending can benefit alongside the infrastructure buildout. The question is how much of that opportunity CrowdStrike can turn into durable revenue.

On October 6, CrowdStrike, AWS and NVIDIA announced an expanded cybersecurity startup accelerator, with access to Falcon development tools, integrations and marketplace opportunities. It strengthens the ecosystem story; it is not a disclosed material revenue contract, and we cannot establish that it caused Friday’s rally. Company announcement

The business and the price

Fiscal Q2 2027 revenue rose 26% to $1.47 billion. Ending annual recurring revenue reached $5.84 billion, up 25%, and quarterly free cash flow was $377.4 million. However, GAAP operating results remained a $33.2 million loss, compared with $371.6 million of non-GAAP operating income. Adjusted profitability and reported profitability tell different stories.

Management’s full-year non-GAAP diluted EPS guidance is $1.25–$1.26. Dividing the $275.04 close by the $1.255 midpoint gives approximately 219 times guided adjusted earnings. This is our calculation using company guidance, not a consensus forward P/E. Share prices and EPS are on the same basis following the four-for-one split.

That valuation leaves substantial expectations embedded in the shares. Revenue can continue growing while the stock struggles if investors reduce the earnings multiple they are willing to pay. Results, guidance and reconciliations

What the chart says

The recomputed 50-day average is $228.70; the 200-day average is $157.32. Friday’s close is 20.3% and 74.8% above those levels respectively. The trend is strong, but the distance from those averages also shows how far the shares have run.

The recent $262–263 area is worth watching after the rebound. The October 6 high of $286.99 is the next visible overhead reference. Holding the former and clearing the latter would be constructive; neither level guarantees an outcome.

Our view: CRWD offers a credible way to study the security side of AI adoption. At this price, execution needs to keep meeting demanding expectations. Watch recurring revenue growth, reported operating profitability and dilution alongside the headline announcements.
